I must confess:
I´m a bit of a "selfie" snob. Not a big fan until they become a true necessity (for example: me + the hubby + the Eiffel Tower in the background, no one to hep out with a pic. Selfie NOW!). Although I have always been a big admirer of good self-portraits, I think there is a thin line between one and the other once you get your hands on a camera. Yet there´s nothing like the intimacy between a mama and her little one when no one else is around. That heavenly space in time where hugs, kisses and "i love you´s" flow without a care in the world, simply because there are no onlookers. THAT is when a selfie has the potential of turning into a self portrait. Some of these pics are images from a bit of down time with little G this morning after working on my collection in process: "Weightlessness". Just her and I.

Debo confesar: soy medio insoportable con aquello de los "selfies". No soy gran fan hasta que se vuelven una verdadera necesidad (ejemplo: yo + esposo + la Torre Eiffel de fondo y nadie para tomarnos una linda foto. ¡Selfie AHORA!). A pesar de que siempre he admirado un buen auto- retrato, creo que hay una línea delgada entre uno y otro cuando tienes una cámara entre manos. Pero no hay nada como la intimidad entre una mamá y su hij@ cuando no hay nadie más presente. Ese lugar de ensueño donde los besos, los abrazos y los "te amo´s" fluyen sin una preocupación, simplemente porque no hay testigos. ESE es el momento en el que un "selfie" tiene el potencial de convertirse en un auto-retrato. Algunas de estas imágenes son fotos de un rato a solas que tuve con G chica después de trabajar en mi serie en proceso "Ingravidez" hoy por la mañana. Solo ella, y yo.
