T-Shirt Quick-Fix Tutorial / Tutorial Playera: Arreglo Express

Here´s how I turn dad´s old T´s into something cool for my little man.

Somehow, something always happen to his T-shirts. They either magically shrink, or my hubbie´s still having weird growth spurts. I don´t know, all I know is, I always find ways to take advantage of this weird thing he´s got going with his clothes.

Place little man´s fave T on top of dad´s T, making sure you pull it all the way to the top. This is a useful way to refab t shirts ONLY if the neck is not too wide.

Once both T-shirts are placed, grab a scissor and cut dad´s T along the bottom. A seam won`t be necesary, since this type of fabric does not fray (just pull taught once refab is done).

Following the edge of the small T, pinning the large T as you go, from the bottom all the way to the edge of the sleeve. I didn´t cut the edge of the sleeves to make them shorter. I liked the green sleeves and chose to leave them long.

Once you`ve done this down ONE side, cut off excess fabric and then fold in half (be careful when folding, don´t hurry, so that the neck line and shoulder lines are even). Cut off excess fabric on the other side and pin down. Sow both sides of the T and you`re ready to go!

I love this T refab. I found one of the T shirts dad brought back from Japán. It was way too old and torn to rescue, so I cut off the image and sew it on to this white T (also dad´s), adding a bit of crooked to the mix. You can let your imagination run wild and frankenstein T´s till you drop! Love it!
¡Me encanta!
Not all days are good days: "I HATE, HATE, HATE when you take pictures of me!!!!!!"
