Vintage Romance / Romance Vintage

I´m inspired, and yes, a hopeless romantic. I love Vintage... I especially love Vintage cotton. I made this layered "Flapper" style dress with three different layers of history...
Estoy inspirada, y si, soy irremediablemente romántica. Amo el "Vintage"... en especial algodones antiguos. Hice este vestido estilo "Flapper" con tres diferentes capas de historia...Top layer: cotton and lace that was used for one of my italian great-grandmother´s costumes (yep, I tore it apart, and yep, she liked dressing up).
I used white cotton linen to seperate the two, so that they would each romantically glow on their own.
Note: I found it! I found it! I´ve been trying to find the term that describes the style of clothing that just drives me up the wall crazy, what seems to define how I see things, what I love. It has some Victorian, some Vintage, lots of cotton and romance...but I couldn´t quite put my finger on it. I read it somewhere, (I can´t remember where. Typical.) it´s something like: Colonial Hindu Fashion... bla... can´t remember now. But The Dress & Co. and designer Hideaki Sakaguchi are working this nameless and inspiring look like no one!

  2. This is beautiful Clau, I love Vintage lace. I used to go on hunts in vintage clothing stores for it when I made things for my girls when they were young.
