These are my Italian greatgrandmother´s silver grapefriut spoons. This is part of my inheritance, and very special family heirloom.
Estas son las cucharas de toronja de mi bisabuela italiana. Esta es parte de mi herencia y una pieza familiar de gran valor sentimental.
The spoon on the left is my baby spoon. The one on the right was given to my mother on her wedding day, and was used for salt for many years.
La cuchara de la izquierda es mi cuchara de bebé. La de la derecha le fué regalada a mi mamá, el día de su boda. Fué usada para sal por muchos años.
This is an old family tradition. When a new baby is welcomed into our family, he or she recieves an engraved silver spoon.
Esta es una tradición familiar. Cuando recibimos a un bebé nuevo, ella o el recibe una cuchara de plata con su nombre grabado.
This baby spoon is also part of my inheritance and one of my favorites. I want to have Giacomo´s name engraved on this one.

This is a close up of Gala´s silver fork. She recieved a fork and spoon from my mother the day she was born. My mom used the silverware she was given as a baby and had them re-engraved with Gala´s name and birthdate. This made it even more special.
