One of my sweet readers, Yoly, from Made for Lilybelle, wrote me asking for help, she wanted advice on how to give her blog a facelift. I thought it would be a cool idea to post several chapters on Blog Refabing, based on what I have slowly learned myself over time.
Una de mis lindas lectoras, Yoly, de Made for Lilybelle, me escribió pidiéndome ayuda, quería consejos sobre cómo darle vida nueva a su blog. Pensé que sería buena idea postear varios capítulos de "Remodelando Blogs", basado en lo que he ido aprendiendo poco a poco con el paso del tiempo.
I chose to start with "Ambiance" because, for me, it is almost the most important factor. Eye candy is somthething I hold dear. Colors and images prepare the ground for writing and, I for one, am capable of skipping right over a blog that might have a lot to say, if the "ambiance" doesn´t seduce me. This kind of betrays the "don´t judge a book by it´s cover" philosophy, but I, personally fall head over heals for an old book with it´s musty smell and romance written all over it´s worn, yellow pages, and I have a feeling I´m not the only one.
Escogí comenzar con el tema de "Estilo" porque, para mi, es prácticamente el factor más importante. La estética y el enamoramiento visual es algo que guardo cerca a mi corazón. Los colores y las imágenes preparan el terreno para lo escrito, y en lo personal, soy capaz de saltar por completo un blog, que quizá tenga mucho que decir, si el estilo no me seduce. Esto traiciona la filosofía de no juzgar algo por su apariencia física, pero soy de esas mujeres que pierde la cabeza por un libro antiguo, con su aroma a años, y romance implícito en sus hojas manchadas y desgastadas... tengo el presentimiento que no soy la única.
I´ve made a short list of lovely blogs that, for me, clearly ejemplify different types of ambiance and styles. I did this to give ideas and inspiration for backgrounds, letterings, use of buttons, themes, color and composition. I think the most beautiful blogs remain consistent in style and don´t mix and match much, unless they do it on purpose, of course! This post is about helping us find our own, unique, style. Blogs reflect, not only our lives, but our personalities, therefore, there are no two alike. Dive in and discover your own zazzy, romantic, or funky side!

Esto lo he hecho con la intención de dar ideas y aportar inspiración al tema de fondos, tipografías, uso de botones, temas, color y composición. Creo que los blogs más bellos mantienen una coherencia en estilo y no mezclan demaciado, ¡al menos que esta sea su ecléctica intención! Este post intenta ayudarnos a encontrar nuestro propio estilo, personal y único. She works over a heavier background and her vintage style photography, makes this a cozy place for your eyes to rest.

Taza works on an all white background and still manages to make her blog as cozy and loving as it can get. She and her husband do wonders with their photography, it´s not overworked or overproduced, but they make, even the simplest picture feel vintage and warm.
Taza trabaja sobre un fondo blanco y aún así logra hacer de su blog un lugar sumamente acogedor y lleno de amor. Ella y su esposo hacen maravillas con su fotografía, no está sobre producida o trabajada, pero hacen sentir, aún de la foto mas sencilla, cierta calidéz con un aire antiguo.
