Little Corners / Rinconcitos

I just hammered the hell out of one of my walls looking to create my next favorite little corner.

Acabo de sacarle el ancho a una de mis paredes a punta de martillazos, buscando crear mi próximo rincón favorito.

It´s right above my night stand. I wanted to make it special, a small space that could express what I hold dearest, something to look at right before I go to sleep.

Está justo a rriba de mi mesa de noche. Lo quise hacer especial, un pequeño espacio que expresara lo que guardo más cerca al corazón, algo que contemplar justo antes de dormir.

These are actually my baby shoes. They are made of the softest leather with pink velvet laces and embroidered flowers...

Estos botines eran míos de bebé. están hechos del cuero más suave, con pasadores de terciopelo rosa y flores bordadas...

This photo I adore. It´s my mom by the ocean, the ocean I love, the one I was born by.

Adoro esta foto. Es mi mamá a la orilla del mar, el mar que amo, el mar junto al cual nací.

My kids like to cuddle in bed with us in the morning, and now they just stare. This little corner tells a story about their mama, and all she loves.

A mis hijos les encanta venir por las mañanas a acurrucarse en la cama con nosotros. Ahora miran mucho este rinconcito, este recoveco que cuenta historias sobre su mamá y todo lo que ama.

Now, if only that same mama could get her act together and make the bed!

Ahora, ¡si esa misma mamá solo pudiera ponerse las pilas y hacer la cama de una vez por todas!
