Christmas Morning: a little girl´s favorites

This Christmas was filled with loved ones, lovely details and handmade wonders. My little G got a sweet little embroidery set from grandma and a wooden doll house from Santa (wink, wink)... these are a few Christmas morning pics... her moments of happy silence.

  1. I love the doll house...Good job Santa(wink,wink)..what kind of needle does G use? I've been thinking of teaching Lily to embroider, just like my abuelita taught me :)

  2. Hola Yoly! About that needle, G has been in a Montessori school for all of her short little life. There they teach them how to sew buttons and the basics of embroidery. So she actually uses a normal needle. I chose a thick one with a large "eye" so she can thread it easily. Basically, the fact that the needle is thicker sort of makes it harder for her to prick her little fingers. At first, though, she started out with a plastic needle and a kind of potato sack fabric.... good luck! Every little girl should learn how to embroider like our abuelitas! xoxo, Clau

    besos
