closer to heaven than expected. 3,850-meters-above-sea-level closer to heaven to be exact. this is another part of my beautiful and unexpected country i can´t seem to let go of. i am taken. it is all so vast, so empty, yet so full of life. to drink water from rivers and waterfalls, to walk for hours on end without seeing a single human soul, shortness of breath with every step, to listen and realize that behind the sound of "nothing" you can hear the earth´s heart beat… is to be alive. i am  reminded that we are all just bits and pieces of one great mother. i am humbled by the fact that we are so small, yet so one with her, and saddened by the reminder that most of us are so intensely out of sync we completely  forget "her" and therefore , ourselves.

    1. isn´t this place heaven? the house is actually an eco friendly lodge called Llanganuco Lodge near the Huscarán in Perú. I highly recommend diving into the adventure of going there… almost more than any other adventure i´ve lived… THIS ONE will live forever in our hearts. <3
